Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso confimed himself that he tested positive of COVID-19, even he is fully vaccinated since last April.
"Nakararamdam ako ng kaunting ubo, kaunting sipon. Masakit ang aking katawan ngayon," the mayor said in a statement.
The mayor have skipped several events after being unwell. He was taken to the Sta. Ana Hospital, according to information from the Manila PIO.
"Kapit lang. Tuloy ang buhay. Tuloy pa rin ang gobyerno sa Maynila. Umasa tayo, magtiwala tayo sa Diyos, makararaos din tayo," the mayor added.
The Manila mayor was fully vaccinated with two doses of Sinovac back in April.
Moreno's test result comes exactly a week after Manila Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna also tested positive for COVID-19.
