Sara Duterte will not support Go-Duterte tandem in Eleksyon 2022

 

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte is not supported in the tandem of Senator Bong Go and her father President Rodrigo Duterte in the prisidential 2022 elections and also she announced that she will not run for the national position.

“No. I will not share my light this time,” Duterte said, Sara's Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) supported candidates of PDP-Laban in the 2019 elections.

The Lady Duterte said her father talked about this before the latter accpedted the nomination of PDP-Laban Cusi faction to run for vice president.

President Duterte has already stated that if Sara runs for president, he will not run for vice president.

The PDP-Laban faction led by Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi has nominated Duterte to be the runningmate of Senator Christopher "Bong'' Go in the coming polls.

Asked to comment if it is possible that she will be a substitute to Go or the President in the end, Sara said she is not a member of PDP-Laban.

Meanwhile, Sara said that politics does not affect her relationship with her father. “We separate work from family. Nothing personal,” Sara said in a separate interview.

In July, the lady Duterte disclosed that she was open to running for president in 2022.
